It has its original open leather keeper and a good fine thong with a red cord lash

It is antique, so can be legally sold in the UK but would be very difficult to export. It has four silver collars along its length in the Georgian or early 19th Century style (see the image of a Georgian whipmaker's trade card below). The first collar is engraved with some initials possibly "HC"The shaft of the whip is covered with finely braided thread and there is a raised spiral pattern under the braiding
